Rain again! We tried to move the boat into the marina during a dry patch but unfortunately the heavens opened while we were on the way and we both got drenched. It carried on with thunder and lightening storms for most of the day and in the evening we even had the heating on.
However we did manage to get out and walk around Ely acquainting ourselves with the area and deciding what to do in the coming week. The waterfront is a lovely area and was very quiet today - we could easily have moored. We have been allocated a nice mooring in the marina but obviously we are surrounded by other boats and we haven't got the views we have been used to looking out to each day. On the plus side we have hook up electricity, a water tap next to the boat, and all the facilities to hand re gas, fuel, and elsan disposal so it is a bit of a novelty.
We went to the station to sort out trains as I am going to London on Thursday to meet Lottie and Lee as they both have the day off. Tom has opted to stay and tinker with the boat, doing a few odd jobs that have been building up!! We also managed to find a Tesco to replenish stocks as Pat and Ted are coming to stay with us for the weekend. Hope the weather improves by then.
